TL;DR
The Transactions page is where you see every dollar flowing in and out of your accounts. It's not just a list — it's a fully searchable, filterable view with AI-powered categorization, cash flow summaries, and receipt scanning. Think of it as your financial paper trail, organized automatically.
What You'll See
- Cash Flow Summary — At the top: net cash flow for the month, with income and expenses broken out side by side. Instantly know if you're in the green or red.
- Search & Filter — Find any transaction by name, merchant, or amount. Filter by account, date range, or sort order.
- Category Quick-Filters — Tap any category chip (Housing, Transportation, Groceries, Dining, etc.) to instantly filter the list. See exactly how much you've spent in each area.
- AI Categorization — Every transaction is automatically categorized by AI. Tim Hortons goes to Dining, Esso to Transportation, Steam to Entertainment. No manual work.
- Transaction Details — Tap any transaction to see the full detail: merchant, account, category, date, and the option to recategorize or add notes.
- Receipt Scanning — Snap a photo of any receipt and rogat.ai extracts the merchant, amount, and date. Matched to existing transactions or added as new entries.
- Month Navigation — Navigate between months to compare spending patterns. The cash flow summary updates for each period.
Why It Matters
Most people have no idea where their money actually goes. They check their bank balance, see it's lower than expected, and wonder what happened. The Transactions page eliminates that guesswork.
With AI handling the categorization and the cash flow summary showing the big picture, you spend less time organizing and more time understanding. The category filters make it easy to answer questions like "how much did I spend on dining this month?" in one tap.
Tip: Use the "All reviewed" status to track which transactions you've checked. It's a quick way to stay on top of new spending without re-reading everything.
